“StudyMalaysia helps students to choose the right course of study through activities and workshops”

Deciding on a course of study at tertiary level can be a tricky or difficult task. If you are one of many who is still trying to decide on a course and career, then make a date with the?StudyMalaysia Education Fair on 21 & 22 March 2015 at?CityONE Megamall (Level 1 – Exhibition Hall) in Kuching.

Students will be treated to various talks and workshops that will help them to explore their interests guide them in deciding on the right study choice. School leavers who have sat for SPM and Form 5 students are encouraged to visit the StudyMalaysia Fair as there will be experienced counsellors and consultants to help them understand their main areas of interest and how that is related to their choice of studies and career.

“The workshops are a good opportunity for students to get to know themselves a little better and explore the fields of study that interest them. These talks and workshops are not always carried out at education fairs, so students and parents should come and experience for themselves the difference this experience can make in helping them make a decision on their education,” said Mr Tan Mui Hong, Managing Director of StudyMalaysia Exhibition.

Among the counsellors who will be at the fair are Madam Chuah, a registered counsellor who has 32 years of career counseling experience; Mr Jaff Chong, a social workers and psychotherapeutic practitioner; and Mr Tan Mui Hong from StudyMalaysia, who has 22 years of experience in the education field in Malaysia.

Exclusive publications produced by StudyMalaysia will be given out free to school leavers who visit the StudyMalaysia Education Fair. The ‘myCAREER?handbook’ aims to help students get to know themselves better and gives them an overview of careers that?could?potentially suit their personality. In addition, students can also get a pamphlet containing a description of?’25 Fields of Study‘ which introduces them to the diverse courses of study at tertiary level. The ‘Guide to Student Financial Aid 2015’?gives?students information?on scholarships and tuition fee waiver schemes offered by participating universities and colleges. Only limited copies are available. These publications?will be given out while stocks last.
