Health Ministry discusses with JPA on recruitment of more specialists: Dr Hilmi
March 15, 2016 | National NewsBALIK PULAU: The Health Ministry will discuss with the Public Service Department (PSD) to increase the posts of specialist doctors to overcome the shortage in government hospitals.
Deputy Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Hilmi Yahaya said there were many medical graduates who had to wait a long time to get a place in government hospitals due to inadequate vacancies.
“The problem now is the shortage of posts. There are medical graduates who had to wait a long time to be accepted as medical officers after undergoing housemansip in government hospitals. There are doctors but there are not enough posts, so we cannot recruit them.
