Extension of Temporary Closure of TAR UC from 29 April - 12 May 2020
April 23, 2020 | Campus NewsFollowing from Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s 23 April 2020 announcement on the third extension of movement control order to contain the Covid-19 outbreak, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (‘TAR UC’) will be temporarily closed from 29 April - 12 May 2020 at all of its campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah.
In view of the MCO extension, TAR UC has rescheduled the commencement dates of the May 2020 intakes. Below are the new commencement dates of the May 2020 intakes:

Application for the May 2020 intakes is still open and prospective students are advised to submit their applications online at . We will also conduct the Orientation for the May/June 2020 Semester online (‘eOrientation’) and deliver the courses offered in the May/June 2020 Semester via e-learning platforms until such time when the campus is open and we are allowed to commence face-to-face delivery. Given the current situation, TAR UC believes that the e-Orientation and online teaching-learning-assessment is the most practical option for students.
For new students whose families are facing financial difficulties during this period, TAR UC is offering a new Covid-19 Instalment Plan to assist them. TAR UC Covid19 Instalment Plan is specifically offered to newly registered TAR UC students for the May/June 2020 Semester to bring financial relief by providing greater flexibility for the first semester fee instalment plan. This plan is available to fulltime new Malaysian students who have been given offers of admission into Foundation, A Level, Diploma and Bachelor Degree programmes. In addition, TAR UC also offers Merit Scholarships to prospective students with excellent academic results. Qualified prospective students will be automatically awarded the Merit Scholarship up to 100% waiver of tuition fees. Merit scholarship is open for students applying for Foundation, A Level, Diploma and Bachelor Degree programmes. TAR UC also provides Interest-free revolving student loans for financially needy and deserving students. Student loans are open for full-time TAR UC students who are pursuing Foundation, Diploma and Bachelor Degree programmes.
