Pre-U / Undergraduate

Open to students pursuing/intending to pursue the following disciplines of study in Local & International Universities:

Electrical Engineering (*)(**)
Civil Engineering?**?/ Mechanical Engineering**
ICT (Software Engineering / Computer Science /?Information Systems)
Accounting / Finance / Commerce
Law / Economics

*Students intending to pursue these courses are highly encouraged to apply
**Programme must be accredited/recognised by Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) Malaysia, available here?.

Eligibility Criteria

Pre-U (Foundation or A-Levels)

21 years old or below at the time of application
Minimum 8As in SPM (Trial SPM results accepted for students taking SPM in 2023)

Undergraduate Program

24 years old or below at the time of application
Minimum 8As in SPM or 3.30 CGPA in STPM/Matriculation/Foundation/Diploma

Not a recipient of any other scholarship or financial aid.
Strong leadership qualities, excellent team player, excels in both extra-curricular activities and sports.
No family member is currently a Sarawak Energy Scholarship recipient.

Postgraduate

Open to students pursuing/intending to pursue their studies in Local & International Universities

Master’s Degree (Coursework Only)

Engineering (Electrical / Electronic)
Accounting
Finance

PhD
Research paper?must?be related with Sarawak Energy‘s Core Business (Research proposal has to be ready during scholarship application)

Eligibility Criteria

30 years old or below during the time of application.
Minimum 3.30 CGPA in Undergraduate Degree and/or Master’s Degree.
Full-time studies only.
Not under any employment.
Not a recipient of any other scholarship or financial aid.
Strong leadership qualities, excellent team-player, excels in both extra-curricular activities and sport.
No family member is currently a Sarawak Energy Scholarship recipient.

Application to Universities

You are required to apply to any local/private university/college and obtain a Letter of Acceptance upon/before applying for the Sarawak Energy Scholarship.

Assessment

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an assessment and interview before the final selection.
