Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) offers a tuition fee bursary for students with a strong sports background who enrol in selected programmes.

Eligible Programmes

• Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science
• Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Sports and Exercise Science
• Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Sports Coaching and Performance Analysis

Bursary Value

• National Player: 50% tuition fee waiver
• State Player: 25% tuition fee waiver

Valid for 1st Semester only

Eligibility Criteria

• Must have represented the state or country in any sport during Form 4 to Form 6
• The sport must be affiliated with the Olympic Council Malaysia (OCM) or the National Sports Council (NSC)
• Must be a full-fee paying student
• Must not be receiving any other scholarships or grants, unless written permission is obtained from TAR UMT
• Open only to Year 1 Semester 1 students
• Applicant may be required to attend an interview

Application Period

• Open from Week 1 to Week 7 of the semester
• Submit the completed application to the Faculty of Applied Sciences
• Late applications will not be accepted

Additional Notes

• Approved bursaries will be refunded by the end of the semester
• Students who withdraw before the refund date will not be eligible
• The university’s decision is final and appeals will not be entertained
