Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) offers the Sports Scholarship to support outstanding young athletes in pursuing their tertiary education while developing their athletic potential.

Eligibility Criteria

• Malaysian citizen
• Applying for a Diploma or Bachelor Degree programme (June 2025 intake)
• Either:
  • Represented Malaysia in sanctioned international games (e.g. SEA Games, Universiade, ASEAN University Games, ASEAN School Games), or
  • Represented state in national sanctioned events (e.g. MSSM, SUKMA), or
  • Represented TAR UMT and won at least a bronze medal in events such as SUKMA, SUKIPT, SIPMA, Universiade, or Asian University Games
• Proven competition record at national/international level in the last 2 years
• Not receiving other scholarships, sponsorships, financial assistance or bursaries from TAR UMT or other bodies

Scholarship Value

• Tuition fee waiver between 25% and 100%
• Based on the level of competition and achievements
• Final decision is subject to an interview and TAR UMT’s discretion

Application Process

• Submit the online application via:
• Closing date: 4 July 2025
• Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews
• Successful applicants must sign an agreement with TAR UMT

Terms & Conditions

• Scholars must represent TAR UMT in events such as MASISWA, SUKIPT, and IPT tournaments
• Maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.0000 throughout
• Scholarship renewal is subject to annual review of performance and conduct
• The scholarship is only granted once per undergraduate study using the same qualification
• TAR UMT’s decision is final and non-appealable
