Course Overview

This industry-oriented programme equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to solve enterprise challenges using data-driven solutions. Students gain in-depth exposure to modern tools and techniques in data analytics, including statistics, machine learning, data visualisation, and big data technologies. Graduates are trained to develop, manage, and support analytical platforms to provide business insights and competitive advantage.

• Assessment: Coursework and assignments (50%–70%), Written exam (30%–50%)

Entry Requirements

• STPM: Minimum grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any TWO (2) subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM or equivalent; OR
• STAM: Minimum grade Jayyid in any TWO (2) subjects with a credit in Mathematics at SPM or equivalent; OR
• Matriculation/Foundation: Minimum CGPA 2.00 with a credit in Mathematics at SPM or equivalent; OR
• Diploma in Computing (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent: Minimum CGPA 2.50; OR
• Diploma in Science & Technology (Level 4, MQF): Minimum CGPA 2.75; OR
• Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) in Computing: Minimum CGPA 2.50 subject to HEP Senate approval; OR
• Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) in Computing: Minimum CGPA 2.50 subject to HEP Senate approval

Note: Candidates with CGPA 2.00–2.74 from categories (iv)–(vii) may be admitted subject to internal evaluation.
