Course Overview

This programme immerses students in the cutting edge of technology with focus areas in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Blockchain. Students gain both theoretical and practical skills through a project-based curriculum, industry internships, and specialised electives.

Curriculum

• Year 1:
  • Core: Intro to CS, DB Systems, Operating Systems, OO Programming, Networking, Discrete Structures, AI
  • Electives (Compulsory): Intro to Programming, Front-End Web Dev
  • Choose 1: Analytics for Decision Making OR Application of Math in IT
• Year 2:
  • Core: System Architecture, Enterprise Data Infra, Software Engineering, Data Structures & Algorithms, CS Engineering
  • Field Electives: Choose from Machine Learning, Cybercrime, Blockchain, Advanced OO Programming
  • 2 Free Electives from IT or Business Faculty
• Year 3:
  • Core: Final Year Project I & II, Ethics & Cybersecurity, Business Dev Project, Internship
  • Field Electives: Choose from Blockchain Dev, Network Security, Stats for DS, Computer Vision, NLP
  • 1 Free Elective from IT or Business Faculty

Entry Requirements

• Recognised Matriculation/Foundation or equivalent with CGPA ≥ 2.00
• STPM: 2 Grade C passes and credit in Additional Mathematics OR Mathematics and one Science/Technology/Engineering subject at SPM level
• A-Level: 2 Principal passes and same Maths/Science requirements
• UEC: 5 Bs including Additional Mathematics OR Mathematics + one Science/Technology/Engineering subject
• CPU: 5 passes, min. avg. 50% + credit in Additional Maths OR Maths and Science/Technology/Engineering
• SAM/TEE: 5 passes with aggregate ≥ 50% + same Maths/Science requirements
• Diploma in CS/IT/IS/SE with CGPA ≥ 2.50 OR other Science/Tech Diplomas CGPA ≥ 2.50 (below 2.50 may be considered with assessment)

Additional Notes: Reinforcement Mathematics may be required depending on qualification background. International students must fulfil English requirement: IELTS 5.0 / TOEFL 500 / equivalent.
