Course Overview

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business, Management & Entrepreneurship at HELP University prepares students for careers in academia or research across public and private sectors. This is a fully research-based programme, allowing candidates to undertake in-depth investigations in a specialised business discipline that contribute meaningfully to the body of knowledge. It offers valuable exposure to the ELM Framework that integrates entrepreneurship, leadership and management into a practical decision-making system.

Curriculum

• Research-based programme: Independent research under supervision, thesis writing, proposal defence, and final viva voce.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Complete prescribed research skills training hours before proposal defence.
  • Students in entrepreneurship-related areas must complete:
    • Managing Innovation
    • Entrepreneurship
  • Supervisors may recommend other modules if necessary.

Entry Requirements

• A recognised Master’s degree in business or relevant field or other qualification approved by the HELP University Senate.
• International applicants must have a minimum score of 6.0 in IELTS or equivalent.
• Admission is subject to the approval of the research proposal and the appointment of a qualified supervisor to support the intended research area.
