Course Overview

The Diploma in Health Information Management is a comprehensive 3-year program meticulously designed to foster expertise in the field of Health and Medical Information Management. The primary focus of this program is to equip students with essential competencies, particularly in ICD-10 Disease and ICD-9 Procedure Coding within the Case-Mix System, to address critical demands and adapt to the ever-evolving requirements of the healthcare industry. A significant aspect of the curriculum involves instructing students on effectively utilizing the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-10) as a worldwide reference book. This specialization will empower students to gain an in-depth understanding of the system and its applications. This hands-on approach will be facilitated through practical postings at our esteemed 26 selected KPJ Specialist Hospitals, allowing students to implement theory and develop practical skills.
