Course Overview

This Diploma in Tourism Management programme is specially designed to meet the growing needs of tourism and related industries such as airlines, cruise, entertainment or cultural organisations and the event management industry. Students will be equipped with comprehensive knowledge in tourism industries and will be exposed to both theoretical and hands-on learning opportunities. In addition, the industrial training programme will provide students with valuable experience, which will assist them in their career planning as well as full-time job opportunities.

Through its strong curriculum design that involves participation from the industry and various stakeholders, students will have an exciting career opportunity at management, supervisory and administrative positions in the tourism industry.

  • PLO 10: Able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and expertise in analyzing and identifying business opportunities.
  • PLO 11: Demonstrate professionalism with ethical and legal practice in line with the tourism codes of conduct.

Entry Requirements

1Pass in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent with a minimum 3 credits in any subject; OR
2Pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum Grade B in 3 subjects; OR
3Pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 KKM in a related field and credit one subject in SPM; OR
4Pass in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent with a minimum of Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in one subject; OR
5Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia.
