Programme Learning Outcome (PLO)

  • PLO1: Describe key concepts, practices and specialized knowledge in relation to a particular tourism and hospitality industry management.
  • PLO2: Develop problem solving abilities by acquiring, interpreting and analysing information from primary and/or secondary sources at local and international context.
  • PLO3: Execute practical activities using appropriate techniques necessary for tourism and hospitality development.
  • PLO4: Effectively deal with human behaviour within operation management of tourism and hospitality management.
  • PLO5: Communicate effectively in written form and/or through presentations.
  • PLO6: Analyse range of data, information and appropriate ideas necessary for understanding processes in tourism and hospitality management.
  • PLO7: Use relevant concepts of numerical data associated with the operational management of tourism and hospitality management.
  • PLO8: Show leadership skills, autonomy and responsibility within tourism and hospitality management.
  • PLO9: Develop life skills that portray intellectual, self-development, confidence, social skills, proper etiquette and commitment to professionalism within tourism and hospitality management.
  • PLO 10: Demonstrate entrepreneurial competencies such as marketing, promotion and operation within the tourism and hospitality event processes.
  • PLO 11: Demonstrate a deep familiarity on different cultural concepts and policies ethically for tourism and hospitality development.

Entry Requirements

1Pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum 5 credits in any subject; OR
2Pass in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent with a minimum of Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in 2 subjects; OR
3Pass in Matriculation/ Foundation in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR
4A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or its equivalent
5Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia.
