Course Overview

The Bachelor of Optometry programme at MSU prepares students for the profession of optometry, which focuses on diagnosing and managing ocular diseases. Through a combination of clinical training and laboratory sessions, students learn to examine and treat disorders of the visual system. This programme includes the opportunity for global exposure and industrial training to ensure graduates are ready for practice in the field.

Entry Requirements

• Minimum FIVE (5) C including THREE (3) from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics at SPM/O-levels and at least a credit in English AND 2.50 CGPA at STPM level in the Science Stream;
• Minimum THREE (3) D at A-level including any THREE (3) from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics;
• Foundation in science with 2.50 CGPA including any THREE (3) from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics;
• Diploma in a science-based field with 2.75 CGPA.
