Course Overview

The Foundation in Business programme provides students with a comprehensive introduction to key business disciplines including economics, management, finance, and accounting. Designed as a preparatory year, it integrates 21st-century learning skills and equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical competencies for a smooth transition into business-related bachelor's degree programmes.

Curriculum

• First Semester:
  • Accounting I
  • Economics I
  • Business Mathematics
  • Introduction to Business and Marketing
• Second Semester:
  • Statistics
  • Introduction to Finance
  • Accounting II
  • Economics II

Entry Requirements

• At least FIVE (5) Credits at SPM/SPMV/Ordinary Level; OR
• Equivalent qualification recognized by MSU Senate.

Career Prospects

Upon successful completion of this programme, students equipped with the excellent knowledge and skills in these areas may embark upon various relevant degree programmes offered at MSU or upgrade their academic pursuits internationally in UK, Australia, USA or any other MSU partner universities over the world under the International Students Exchange Programme (ISEP). 

Among the specialisations that the students may choose including International Business, Accounting, Decision Science, Investment Management, Industrial Management, Hospitality Management or any other relevant degree programmes.
