Course Overview

The Bachelor in Education (Visual Arts) (Hons) at MSU equips future educators with the pedagogical and artistic foundation needed to inspire a passion for visual art among students. Delivered by experienced lecturers, the programme balances theoretical understanding with hands-on creative practice, and opens pathways into teaching as well as the wider creative sector such as museums and galleries.

  • Professionalism and Ethics in Education
  • Psychology in Education
• Year Two:
  • Design and Graphic Communication
  • Textiles and Clothing
  • Modern and Contemporary Art
  • Education Technology
• Year Three:
  • Developing Materials in Visual Arts
  • Assessing and Evaluating Visual Arts
  • Internship: Teaching Practical

Entry Requirements

• Credit in Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Melayu (Syllabus X) Bahasa Malaysia II at SPM level;
• AND at least THREE (3) C’s including in Pengajian Am / General Studies OR
• TWO (2) C’s in Pengajian Am / General Studies and TWO (2) D’s; OR
• THREE (3) A-levels; OR
• MSU Foundation Certificate; OR
• MSU/PTPL Diploma; OR
• Other equivalent qualifications recognized by MSU Senate.
