Course Overview

The Bachelor in Islamic Banking programme is designed to equip you with the fundamentals and methodology of Islamic banking and financial system, providing you with comprehensive understanding of the key concepts and operating principles in Islamic banking as compared with conventional banking, and preparing you to meet the demands of the Islamic banking industry. You will be trained by lecturers who will share their knowledge and expertise in the field, providing an insight to the latest trends and development in the industry. The learning experiences here at Management and Science University will equip you with an array of transferable communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Entry Requirements

• Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent; OR
• STPM with TWO full passes with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent; OR
• STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent; OR
• Diploma (MQF Level 4) in MIF or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or equivalent (CGPAs below 2.5 but above 2.0 may be admitted subject to internal assessment); OR
• Any other Diploma (MQF Level 4) with a minimum CGPA of 2.5; OR
• Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Notes:

• Pass in Mathematics at SPM may be waived if the qualification contains Mathematics with equivalent or higher achievement.
• Arabic enhancement course required unless a pass in Arabic at STPM/STAM/Matriculation/Foundation/Diploma or equivalent is presented.
• Passing Arabic enhancement is prerequisite for core courses requiring it.
• Arabic enhancement course credits are additional and may be counted towards graduation.
