Course Overview

The Bachelor in Islamic Finance programme is geared to provide you with the fundamentals in Islamic finance focusing on a comprehensive exposure to its concepts, principles and practices. You will complement your study of Islamic finance with other courses such as economics, accounting and management. The built-in industry training will also give you valuable first-hand experience in the field. This programme is designed to prepare you to meet the demands of the Islamic finance industry with strong theoretical knowledge and practical applications aligned with Shariah principles.

Entry Requirements

  • A recognised Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
  • A pass in STPM with TWO full passes with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or its equivalent and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
  • A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
  • A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in MIF or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or equivalent (CGPAs below 2.5 but above 2.0 may be admitted subject to internal assessment); OR
  • Any other Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.5; OR
  • Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Notes:

  • Mathematics requirement may be waived if qualification contains equivalent/higher Mathematics.
  • Arabic language enhancement course required unless exempted by prior qualifications.
  • Students must pass Arabic enhancement to access related core courses.
  • Arabic enhancement credit is additional and may count toward graduation.
