Course Overview

This programme prepares students to become experts in the production of pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and nutraceutical products. It provides knowledge in product development, packaging, quality control, quality assurance, factory and laboratory management, and warehouse management. Graduates will be equipped with both theoretical and industry knowledge to pursue a career in pharmaceutical technology.

• Year 2:
  • Basic Good Manufacturing Practice
  • Research Instrumentation and Design
  • Medicinal Chemistry
  • Pharmacognosy
• Year 3:
  • Veterinary Product Therapeutic
  • Nutraceutical
  • Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance
• Year 4:
  • Industrial Pharmaceutical Internship

Entry Requirements

• STPM / Matriculation / A-Level / Pre-University / Foundation C (2.50 CGPA) in Biology/Physics and Chemistry
• SPM or equivalent CREDIT or equivalent in five (5) subjects including three (3) from Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English
• Diploma (MQF Level 4) in a related field 2.50 CGPA; CGPA below 2.50 may be supported by at least two (2) years (24 months) working experience in a relevant field
• South Australia Matriculation (SAM) At least 65-70% of the aggregate or TER / UAI 75
• Canadian Pre-University (CPU) At least 80% aggregate
• Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Grade B in five (5) subjects
• Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia.

Career Prospects

Graduates can pursue career opportunities as Pharmacy Technologists, R&D Officers, or Quality Control Officers in pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and nutraceutical industries.
