Course Overview

The Diploma in Medical and Health Science prepares students for careers as Assistant Medical Officers by offering comprehensive training in medical science fundamentals and clinical practice. Students gain real-world experience through simulation labs, hospital attachments, and community health placements, ensuring readiness for the healthcare industry.

• Clinical Placements – Emergency, Pre Hospital Care, Community Health Unit, Labor Room

Entry Requirements

SPM or Equivalent Qualifications:

• Pass SPM or its equivalent with at least FIVE (5) Credits:
• Compulsory: Bahasa Malaysia
• TWO (2) from Mathematics and Science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, General Science, or Applied Science)
• TWO (2) from any other subjects
• A Pass in English is required; preference for Credit

GCE O-Level:

• At least FIVE (5) Credits:
• TWO (2) from Mathematics and Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, General Science)
• THREE (3) other subjects
• Pass in English required

Health & Medical Certification:

• Medically certified fit by a registered practitioner recognized by MSU
• Must be free from: mental illness, physical/sensory disability, infectious diseases (e.g., HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B/C), genetic disorders, epilepsy, substance abuse
