Course Overview

The Masters in Counselling programme at HELP covers all core areas required of professional counsellors. The curriculum includes psychological theory, counselling techniques, testing and assessment, career guidance, ethics, and supervised practical training. The programme adheres to the Malaysian Board of Counsellors' training standards and supports working adults with part-time study options.

    Note: Sequence of subjects may vary between intakes. Assessments are based on coursework and examinations (40–60% each).

Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years’ study in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent is preferred, though not necessarily with industry experience.
  • International candidates must have English Proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or other recognised tests.
