Course Overview

The Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology equips students with the skills and knowledge required for diagnostic laboratory work in hospitals and clinics. Combining academic learning with clinical training, the programme develops technical proficiency and experience in real-world healthcare settings.

  • Parasitology
  • Clinical Biochemistry
  • Immunology and Serology
• Year Two:
  • Haematology Diagnostic
  • Cytology
  • General Pathology
  • Clinical Immunohaematology
• Year Three:
  • Histopathology
  • Clinical Training

Entry Requirements

• SPM/V with five (5) Credits in: Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, one (1) Science subject (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science / Applied Science), and one (1) other subject; OR
• O-level with Grade C in: English, Mathematics, one (1) Science subject, and two (2) other subjects; OR
• Health Sciences Certificate (MQF Level 3) with 2.00 CGPA; OR
• SKM Level 3 in related fields and SPM with one (1) Credit; OR
• Community College Certificate (MQF Level 3) in related fields and SPM with one (1) Credit; OR
• Polytechnic Certificate (MQF Level 3) in related fields with 2.00 CGPA; OR
• MARA Skills Institute Certificate (MQF Level 3) in related fields with 2.00 CGPA; OR
• UEC with Grade B in three (3) subjects; OR
• Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia.
