Course Overview

This diploma programme prepares students for careers in the aviation industry, focusing on aircraft maintenance. Delivered through hands-on and group-based learning, it equips students with technical knowledge and practical skills. Graduates may pursue Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) assessments under an Approved Training Organization (ATO) recognised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).

Curriculum

• Year One:
  • Basic Aerodynamics
  • Theory of Flight and Flight Control
  • Aviation Legislation
  • Materials and Hardware
• Year Two:
  • Air Conditioning, Cabin Pressurization and Oxygen Systems
  • Airframe Structure
  • Aircraft Landing Gear and Brakes
  • Electronics Instrument and Avionics System
• Year Three:
  • Industrial Training

Entry Requirements

• SPM or equivalent with at least credits in THREE (3) subjects, including Mathematics and ONE (1) relevant science/technical/vocational subject AND a pass in English; OR
• PTPL certificate in a relevant field with at least 2.00 CGPA; OR
• Qualification deemed equivalent by MSU Senate.
