Course Overview

The objectives of the Master of Information Technology are to:

  • Strengthen your managerial skills and competencies in computerised technical know-how
  • Improve your managerial capability in handling information management in business organisations
  • Enhance your analytical skills and problem-solving capability in handling current issues in computer management
  • Enhance your role as IT manager in the K-economy

Information technology and communication (ICT) play an important role in shaping our daily lives, both at work and at home. The role of information, communication and technology will be further enhanced in the information generation era as the business frontiers extend beyond any expected horizon.

Entry Requirements

Normal Entry

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computing OR non-Computing field, with CGPA of 2.5 and above.
Where candidates without a Computing Degree are admitted, prerequisite modules in Computing must be offered to adequately prepare them for their advanced study.
Candidates with CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 may be admitted subject to a rigorous Internal Assessment process.

OR

APEL Admission

More than 30 years of age on 1 January in the year of application; AND
STPM / Recognised Diploma / A-Levels / Equivalent; AND
Relevant work experience / prior experiential learning; AND
Pass the APEL Assessment (Aptitude Test, Portfolio & Interview) conducted by OUM
