This programme aims to impart knowledge and develop skills in studio-based design processes and techniques which enable graduates to choose in and perform a wide range of career settings relevant to various media-related industries.
Multimedia Design is an ever-evolving field. To thrive in such an industry, graduates are not only equipped with the skills and knowledge required but also the ability to improve and adapt to the evolving industry. The programme remains committed to staying abreast of technological advancements and design trends, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to not only compare but also compete at an industrial level.
Our programme holds both local and international recognition, with graduates widely accepted by creative industries locally as well as overseas. Actively supporting participation in creative workshops, events, and competitions, the programme has garnered numerous achievements. Furthermore, the inclusion of a 3-month internship period allows students to gain practical experience and immerse themselves in managing industrial-level projects.
Graduates may be admitted into Year 2 of Bachelor of Creative Multimedia (Honours).

* Bahasa Kebangsaan A is compulsory for students without Credit in Bahasa Malaysia at SPM level
** Co-curricular course must be taken in Year 1 Semester 1
(1) SPM - 3 Credits in the relevant subjects (2) O Level - 3 Grade C in the relevant subjects (3) UEC - 3 Grade B in the relevant subjects (4) Certificate - Relevant Certificate accredited by MQA OR Relevant Skilled/Technical/Vocational Certificate accredited by MQA or recognised by the Malaysian Government Compulsory subject: i) (1), (2) and (3), students who do not have at least a pass in English Language (SPM/O Level/UEC) must attend TAR UMT Essential English Skills course during their first semester in the programme AND i) (1), (2), (3) and (4) must pass a specified portfolio test to be conducted by TAR UMT Note: a) SPM holders must have at least a pass in Bahasa Melayu and SPM holders from Year 2013 onwards must have at least a pass in Sejarah. b) Students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before the award of Diploma. c) Equivalent qualifications/qualifications from other Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis. d) Subject to the Ministry of Higher Education latest requirements. |
