This undergraduate Psychology degree programme aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge within basic and applied psychology. The programme will develop critical thinking, analytical and practical skills in students to approach problems that are related to human behaviour and mental processes. The programme also aims to develop effective communication and interpersonal skills to allow students to pursue lifelong learning. During the course of study, students should be able to apply appropriate technology to support their study and research. Upon graduation, students should be familiar with the contemporary issues that are related to psychology field and are equipped with the capability to lead, act responsibly and ethically within varied social and professional environment. Besides, students are well-prepared to further specialisation at the postgraduate level.

(1) STPM - Grade C in 2 relevant subjects (2) A Level - Grade D in 2 relevant subjects (3) UEC - Grade B in 5 relevant subjects (4) TAR UMT - Foundation in Arts (Track B) AND SPM Credit/O Level Grade C/UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject# AND one relevant science subject^ - Relevant Diploma AND SPM Credit/O Level Grade C/UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject# AND one relevant science subject^ (5) Other IHL - Relevant Foundation/ Diploma accredited by MQA Compulsory subjects: (1), (2), (3) and (4) must include - i) SPM Credit/ O Level Grade C/ UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject# ii) SPM Credit/ O Level Grade C/ UEC Grade B in one relevant science subject^ (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) SPM Pass/ O Level Grade E (Pass)/ UEC Grade C in English Language The requirements of credit in a mathematics and a relevant science subject at SPM/ O Level/ UEC can be waived should any other higher qualifications contain Mathematics and Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science subjects with an equivalent/ higher achievement. #Grade B and above in General Mathematics conducted by TAR UMT is accepted as having fulfilled the Mathematics requirement for applicants with a pass in SPM/Grade D or Grade E (pass) in O Level/Grade C in UEC in the required Mathematics subject. ^Grade B and above in General Science conducted by TAR UMT is accepted as having fulfilled the Science requirement for applicants with a pass in SPM/Grade D or Grade E (pass) in O Level/Grade C in UEC in the required Science subject. Note: a) Students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before the award of Bachelor Degree. b) TAR UMT Diploma will be accepted on credit transfer into Bachelor Degree programmes. c) Equivalent qualifications/qualifications from other Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis. d) Subject to the Ministry of Education latest requirements. |
