The Master of Science in Built Environment (by Research) aims to provide a continuation of studies for the graduates of Bachelor's degrees from various disciplines in Built Environments such as Architecture. Construction Management and Economics, Estate Management and Quantity Surveying in order to cater for the professional needs of the construction industry.

Minimum Entry Requirements - A Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines of Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate of TAR UMT; OR - A Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines of Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR - A Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines of Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment. - Candidates without a qualification or working experience in Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses and meet the minimum CGPA based on the above. English Language Requirements 1) Malaysian Students MUET Band 3.5 or IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 or equivalent; OR Exemption of English Language requirement if the medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English 2) International Students IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 or equivalent; OR Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English |
