The Master of Architecture is a full-time professional programme that aims to serve as a continuation of architectural study for graduates who hold a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (Honours) degree. The former is equivalent to the Part II examination of the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) and the latter is equivalent to Part I. LAM Part II qualification is necessary for a graduate who intends to apply for registration as "Graduate Architect", which is a prerequisite for registration as an "Architect" upon passing the LAM III Professional Examination.

Minimum Entry Requirements - A Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines of Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate of TAR UMT; OR - A Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines of Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR - A Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines of Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment. - Candidates without a qualification or working experience in Built Environment such as Architecture, Building, Construction Management, Property Management, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology Management, or other related field, must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses and meet the minimum CGPA based on the above. English Language Requirements 1) Malaysian Students MUET Band 3.5 or IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 or equivalent; OR Exemption of English Language requirement if the medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English 2) International Students IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 or equivalent; OR Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English |
