Department of Mathematical and Data Science at TAR UMT offers the opportunity to study for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Mathematical Sciences) in a thriving research environment. This programme served to those who are interested in research and require in-depth knowledge and experience in mathematics or statistics through individual and specialized research projects. The programme allow the students to acquire advanced knowledge in their fields of interest.

| Minimum Entry Requirements A Master's Degree in the field or related fields accepted by the HEP Senate; OR Other qualifications equivalent to a Master's Degree recognised by the Government of Malaysia. Candidates without a related qualification in the field/s or working experience in the relevant fileds must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by HEP. English Language Requirements 1) Malaysian Students MUET Band 3.5 or IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 or equivalent; OR Exemption of English Language requirement if the medium of instruction during Master studies was in English 2) International Students IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 40 or equivalent; OR Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Master studies was in English |
