The PhD programme in Food Science is designed for qualified individuals who want to gain in-depth research and academic experiences in areas such as food quality and safety, functional food, food biotechnology, food processing and fermentation. The scientific expertise of our faculty coupled with state-of-the-art facilities offer PhD students a conducive research environment to pursue their specialization in food chemistry, food microbiology, food processing, innovation and food product development, nutrition and other food-related fields of study.

Minimum Entry Requirements A Master's Degree (MQF, Level 7) in Food Science or related field accepted by the HEP Senate; OR Other qualifications are equivalent to a Master's Degree that is accepted by the HEP Senate.
