Course Overview

Entry Requirements

1. Matriculation or Asasi Sains ? CGPA 2.30 from Asasi UiTM, Asasi Sains UM, Matrikulasi KPM with ? Grade C (2.0) in three (3) of these subjects group: Chemistry/ Engineering Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics/Engineering Physics/Biology. AND Pass all the requirements set by the Faculty of Art and Design.

2. Diploma Graduates ? Pass SPM ? Credit in Bahasa Malaysia ? Graduated from government approved Universities / Polytechnics ? Diploma (CGPA 3.0 in relevant field) ? Diploma with CGPA 2.75 with 2 years of experience in relevant field AND Pass all the requirements set by the Faculty of Art and Design.

3. APEL ? Pass MQA + 7 Years working Experience + MUET (Band 2) ? Pass Faculty level interview.

Career Prospects

Graduates from this course will have the opportunity to be employed by local to multinational textile technology or textile fashion-based companies for positions such as QC/QA Engineer, Production Engineer, Chemist, Fashion Designer, Technologist, Textile Designer, Researcher & Material Scientist, Merchandiser, Textile Technologist and Garment Technologist. Graduates may also alternatively initiate their own career as entrepreneurs and retailers with wider and deeper knowledge in both textile science and fashion.
