Institution Overview

Introduction

Flamingo International College, formerly known as Flamingo Institute of Further Education, was established in December 1996 and is a modern private college of higher learning, ideally located within a resort hotel and lies about 10 minutes from the internationally-renowned Twin Towers of Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

A key feature of our expertise lies with our academic staff. Both teaching and support staff have extensive experience in industries related to the programmes, and are also academic experts in their respective fields. It is this high degree of specialisation, coupled with dedicated teaching resources and close working relationships with the international hospitality sector that has attracted students from around the globe to our college and that has led us to play a leading role in Malaysia's hospitality industry. • Business Management: Diploma in Business Management (Business) / The Association of Business Executive (ABE)
• Computer Studies:Diploma in Computer Studies

Facilities

Air-conditioned lecture halls and classrooms are equipped with modern facilities and amenities that include computer laboratories with Pentium IV PCs and broadband Internet facilities. Our library contains an extensive collection of books, magazines and journals. We also have full industrial-sized kitchen, student- run restaurant, mock-up guest rooms and a front office reception equipped with the latest Hotel Information Systems.

Student Support Service & Student Development Activities

The students? lounge at Flamingo allows students to mingle around. It also includes a vending machine, pool table and darts board. There is also a bowling center, a fitness centre and jogging tracks within the premises.

Scholarship/ Financial Aid

Scholarship is awarded to qualified and deserving students who excel in academic performance. Students may also apply for loans from the government for example Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) and commercial banks.
